Here’s a list of common irregular verbs in French with their past participles and example sentences in the passé composé. Irregular verbs don’t follow standard patterns for forming their past participles, so they need to be memorized.

2. Common Irregular Verbs with "Être"

These verbs belong to the DR MRS VANDERTRAMP group or are reflexive verbs. The past participle agrees with the subject in gender and number.

All reflexive verbs use être as the auxiliary.
